DETAIL ITINERARY
Day 1
Arrival-Local sightseeing (27 km) Arrival Srinagar, meeting up with assistance & transfer to Dlx. Houseboat / Hotel. PM: Visit to famous Mughal Gardens Cheshma Shahi, Nishat, Shalimar, laid out in the 16th century along the banks of Dal-lake in the heart of Srinagar city & Shankaracharya Temple on a hillock. Enjoy the panoramic view of the entire city, Dal-lake & river Jehlum. En-route visiting handloom centre famous for Pashmina / Shahtoos shawls & world renowned carpets, evening back to Dlx. Houseboat / Hotel for overnight stay.
Day 2
Srinagar-Gulmarg-Srinagar (112 km) Leave after breakfast for full day excursion to Gulmarg “Meadow of wild flowers” which lies to the west of Srinagar at a distance of 56 kms, at an altitude of 2730 mts. above sea level, surrounded by snow capped mountains, on a clear sunny day Nanga Parbat can be seen. It is premier winter sports destination for skiers with one of the world’s highest 18 hole golf course. For joy seekers, cable car upto Alpather via Khilanmarg by Asia’s long run cable car ride about 5 kms. PM: leave for boat ride to explore the Dal lake, waterways, floating gardens, vegetables gardens, water lilies, lotus flowers, mobile vendors, floating handicraft centre, witness the inherited lifestyle inside the lake since decades. Evening return back to Hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
Day 3
Srinagar-Sonamarg-Srinagar (174 km) After after breakfast leave for full day excursion to Sonamarg “The Meadow of Gold”. Which is 87 km to the north-east of Srinagar at an altitude of 3000 mts above sea level. The place offers incredible scenic beauty (while driving to Sonamarg) dense pine forests, gigantic mountains. The place itself is a popular resort for mountaineering, rock climbing, it provides the ideal base for various trekking routes, an important halt on way to Kargil (Ladakh), & Amarnath holy cave. Evening return back to Hotel for Dinner & overnight stay.
Day 4
Srinagar-Departure Morning free till departure transfer for Srinagar airport to board the scheduled flight for onward destination.
